Listener
What: The Listener listens carefully throughout the meeting for interesting tidbits of information from everyone and then quizzes the members to test everyone’s listening skills.
Who: All members may perform the Listener role
Why: A very important (and sometimes neglected) part of communication is listening skills. This role helps us to practice focusing on the speaker by intently listening to the details of the messages being delivered.
How: The Listener listens carefully and notes important details from everyone. When the Listener is called upon to give the Listener’s report, the Listener asks the members specific questions about anything said during the meeting to test and strengthen our listening abilities.
