Speaker
What: A major portion of the meeting is centered around three or more speakers. The speeches are prepared and delivered based upon the Toastmasters International’s workbook project objectives.
Who: Everyone from beginners to advanced level speakers deliver prepared speeches.
Why: We never stop growing! Even when we achieve our objectives and goals, we continue to challenge and improve ourselves to become better communicators.
How: By researching, writing, and preparing. In real estate it’s “location, location, location”. When it comes to public speaking it’s “preparation, preparation, preparation”. Speech times vary depending upon the level of speech manual and particular assignment. Most speeches from the beginner’s manual (10 speech assignments) have a target range of 5 to 7 minutes (5 being the minimum target and 7 being the maximum target for the speech).
