Toastmaster
What: The main responsibility of the Toastmaster is to act as a genial host and conduct the entire program, including introducing the participants.
Who: This is a slightly more advanced role, so it is normally performed by members that are familiar with the club and its procedures.
Why: This role enables members to practice leadership by preparing for, and managing meetings or events, as well as practicing their speaking skills.
How: The Toastmaster prepares the agenda based upon the club’s posted schedule. The Toastmaster contacts each of the members (during the week prior to the meeting) to personally invite them to attend, as well as ensure that everyone who has an assigned role is able to perform their assigned role. The Toastmaster may have other members assist him/her with contacting the members.
